Sainsbury in Victoria Road, Surbiton supply a range of kosher food including Osem soups and cakes; grape juice; kiddush wine; Tivall vegetarian foods; Telma soup cubes and noodles; pickles; dips and meat products eg viennas, sausages and cold meats, as well as Gilberts Chopped Liver. They contstantly restock.. If you are a gefilte fish freak they also have jars of said product. Yum! These are right in the middle of the shop. Tesco in New Malden Kosher stuff is in two places Kosher is now part of World produce, so just find that, and you'll find the Kosher stuff, of which there is lots. The freezer cabinet is a bit disappointing, though, mainly made up of frozen chicken, and little else. Still no deli stuff Worth a visit Waitrose in Cobham have a very large Kosher Section at present. The Rabbi thinks it is wonderful. Similar selection to Sainsbury's except the last time I went they had Worscht (expensive though). No recent reports as of June '07 though. Rhonda reports:Waitrose in Cobham is better laid out (than Tescos) and has chilled produce, ie chopped liver,chicken portions, meatballs, schnitzels, fishballs and sometimes fried fish. They also have crisps. Budgens on Ewell Road in Tolworth has a few things, but since they did a restructure of the store, all but the Yarden Dips and Mrs Elswood Cucumbers (big deal) have disappeared. Chicken Sausages have reappeared. Challahs are available every Thursday. Chabad House at 42 St George Road Wimbledon (020-8944-1581) near Wimbledon Station sell a range of kosher groceries such as Challahs, Bread, Cakes, Wine, Biscuits, Frozen Poultry, Candles.
